Commercial Percolation Testing In the State of Alabama

The quality and testing of soil is an essential part of the plan for a septic system and installation. With new systems, any suspected difficulties with your tank’s drainage level, we could advise a perc test to manage your leach lines for working effectively.
Weather permitting, a percolation test will be done to indicate what type of sewage system will be allowed. Having a home percolation test is a simplistic way to gauge how suddenly your soil drains and to conclude how much area you need to infiltrate the greywater. We are aware that your sight requires a percolation test, and we strictly follow the regulations that are in place by the City of Huntsville. We have business partnerships with engineers, and they are professionally registered with the State of Alabama and are capable of performing a percolation test.

How To Do A Percolation Test?
Excavation starts with a hole dug at 300mm square to a bottom of 250mm below the considered tank location's level of the ground drain.
Next, filling this hole with water to a minimum measurement of 250mm and leaving the water to seep overnight. On the following day, refill the analysis section with more water of a minimum depth of 250mm and note the time taken for the water to seep away ultimately. Preceding with the calculation of dividing the time by the thickness (mm) of water in the hole. The result gives the average time needed for the water to drop 1mm. The test is avoided if variable weather conditions have been present, for example, such as heavy rains, harsh frost, or drought.
This test will be done at a minimum three times, with at the slightest two trial holes dug. The average value from the tests will be noted and this gives great insight on the proposed location of the new septic tank location.
